Press conference after vote on political advertising legislation
The rapporteur will hold a press conference just after Tuesday’s vote on the regulation on the transparency and targeting of political advertising.
When: Tuesday, 24 January, 11:30 - 12:00
Where: Anna Politkovskaya press conference room, European Parliament, Brussels, and via Interactio
The lead MEP, Sandro Gozi (Renew, FR), will brief journalists and take questions on the outcome of the Internal Market and Consumer Protection committee’s vote on the new regulation on the transparency and targeting of political advertising.
The regulation aims to get Europe up to speed with the radically changed environment of political advertising which is now cross-border and increasingly online. Concretely it sets about to promote high European standards of transparency in political campaigning and free and fair elections in the EU.
You can follow the press conference live in the Daphne Caruana Galizia Press room or via Parliament’s webstreaming.
