Vote on EU association deal with Georgia 

Parliament is likely to grant its consent to the EU-Georgia Association Agreement on Thursday. The deal will establish deep political association and economic integration between the EU and Georgia, including the progressive opening up of their respective markets.


The deal is the third in the new generation of association agreements that the European Parliament is asked to ratify, after those with Ukraine and Moldova.


On Thursday MEPs will also adopt an accompanying resolution setting out their views on developments in Abkhazia and South Ossetia and also on relations with Russia.
