Tackling abusive use of fixed-term work contracts 

MEPs will quiz the EU Commission on Thursday on steps taken to tackle precarious employment and abusive use of fixed-term work contracts in the EU public and private sectors.

The European Parliament has received many petitions on similar cases from all over the EU. The debate will be wrapped up in a resolution to be voted on the same day.

Precarious employment include arrangements such as so called “zero-hour” contracts, without a minimum number of guaranteed working hours.
