Seating in the Chamber

The decision as to how seats in the Chamber are allocated among political groups, non- attached MEPs and representatives of EU institutions is taken by the Conference of Presidents (leaders of the political groups and the President of Parliament) at the start of each legislative term.

Over the past few terms, political groups have been put together like wedges in a pie chart, with the group leaders all in the first row.
