Corina Crețu, Marianne Thyssen, Jonathan Hill, Vĕra Jourová, Miguel Cañete, Tibor Navracsics are the next candidate commissioners to appear at the EP for 3 hour long interviews.
The hearings of nominees for the new Juncker Commission started on Monday. Since then 10 candidates have already been scrutinised. Follow the link for our recap on Storify of yesterday's events. The hearings will come to an end on 7 October.
Today, 1 October, the following hearings take place (all times are CET):
Corina Crețu, from Romania, is commissioner-designate for regional policy. She will be questioned in a hearing of the regional development committee from 9.00. Watch the hearing live here and follow live tweets from the committee.
Marianne Thyssen, from Belgium, has been assigned the portfolio for employment, social affairs, skills and labour mobility. She will face the employment, culture and education and gender equality committees from 9.00. Watch it online here and follow live tweets from the committee.
The UK's Jonathan Hill has been proposed for the financial stability, financial services and capital markets union portfolio. He will have to answer questions from the economic and monetary affairs committee from 13.30. Follow the hearing on our website and check out the latest committee tweets.
Vĕra Jourová, from the Czech Republic, will be asked about her justice, consumers and gender equality portfolio, at a joint meeting of the internal market, legal affairs, justice and gender equality committees. Watch the meeting from 13.30 here and follow the committee tweets.
Miguel Cañete, the Spanish nominee for climate action and energy, will have to respond to questions from the energy and environment committees from 18.00. Watch it live here and follow the committee tweets here.
Finally Hungarian Tibor Navracsics has been pencilled in for the education, culture, youth and citizenship portfolio. From 18.00 he will be quizzed about it by the culture and research committees. Watch it live here and follow the committee tweets here.
