In Parliament this week: UK referendum, budget implications of refugee crisis

The UK referendum and its consequences are discussed during an extradition plenary session in Brussels on Tuesday 27 June. In addition the financial repercussions of the refugee and migrant crisis are discussed at a joint committee meeting, while political groups are also preparing for next week's full plenary session in Strasbourg.

UK referendum

 

MEPs debate the outcome of the UK referendum and the repercussions this will have for the European Union during an extraordinary plenary session on Tuesday 28 June. They also vote on a resolution.

Refugee crisis

 

MEPs discuss the financial cost of the refugee crisis and migration crisis in a joint hearing organised by the budgets, civil liberties, foreign affairs and development committees. It will also be attended by the Secretary-General of the European Council on Refugees and Exiles, business magnate George Soros as well as by representatives from Frontex, UNHCR Europe, the Open Society Foundation and the European Commission.
