Covid-19

In light of rising Covid-19 cases across the EU, MEPs will discuss how to coordinate member states’ measures to combat the pandemic more effectively across the EU. The impact of the EU digital Covid certificate and the low vaccination rates in several countries are also likely to be addressed during the debate, which will take place on Monday.

On Wednesday, MEPs will also discuss the EU’s role in combatting the Covid-19 pandemic.

A stronger pharmaceutical strategy

Belarus

On Tuesday, MEPs will debate the security and humanitarian consequences of the ongoing crisis at the Polish-Belarusian border and the Belarusian regime’s attempts to direct a substantial number of migrants towards the EU’s external borders.

New avenues for legal migration

Proposals to facilitate legal migration to the EU and end labour exploitation will be debated on Tuesday. The proposals aim to address Europe’s demographic challenges and effectively match immigrants’ skills with labour market needs. The vote will take place on Wednesday.
