On 9-10 June, thousands of people aged 16 to 30 from across the EU will take over the European Parliament in Strasbourg for the European Youth Event (EYE) to discuss and share ideas on how to shape the future of Europe.

Joined by experts, activists, content creators and decision-makers, young people will have the opportunity to interact, exchange views and get inspired right at the heart of European democracy.

More activities planned this year

The fifth edition of the event, EYE2023 will feature both in-person and hybrid activities in Strasbourg. About 200 activities are planned, including debates, discussions, networking opportunities, artistic performances, sports and interactive workshops.

Some of the activities are organised in cooperation with other institutions, international organisations, civil society and youth organisations.

Take part online

Even if you can’t come to Strasbourg in person, you still enjoy the opportunity to get involved online.

By joining the EYE2023 online community, you will be able to watch the activities in Parliament’s plenary chamber and ask questions.

Participate in workshops and panels about skills; rights: as well as green, digital and hybrid jobs on 9 June. Check out the online programme for all the events on 10 June, when issues range from social issues to the preparations for the European elections in 2024.

You can follow events live on Facebook and on Parliament’s multimedia centre. They will be available in most of the EU’s official languages and with international sign language.

Have your say on the future of Europe

You can also have your say about the issues Europe is facing today and what you care about the most. Go to the youth ideas site, explore and react to the proposals, suggest how they could be turned into reality or put forward your own ideas.

The most popular ideas discussed during EYE2023 will be published in the Youth Ideas Report written by young editors and presented to MEPs during a hearing in Brussels in the autumn.
