Media Invitation: LUX Film Award ceremony in Strasbourg

On Wednesday 9 June at noon, EP President David Sassoli will announce the LUX European Audience Film Award 2021 winner in the European Parliament chamber in Strasbourg.

Representatives from the three shortlisted films will be present in Strasbourg and will discuss the issue of media freedom in Europe, as well as the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the European film and cinema industry, during a webinar on Tuesday.

Journalists are invited to participate in the Q&A session after each panel via webex (event number: 163 829 4132; event password: azZYZZ4Dz97).

Press conference on Wednesday at 13.15

Right after the announcement of the winner, on 9 June from 13.15-14.00, the winner, the other finalists, the European Film Academy and the Chair of the Committee on Culture and Education, Ms Sabine Verheyen (EPP, DE) will address journalists in a press conference.


Interpretation will be provided into English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Polish.
