Ahead of the IWD, we need to look at women’s rights and gender equality in Europe. But we can’t forget the war in Ukraine, which will be our focus during the second part of the seminar.

On International Women's Day, we will look at the Parliament priorities on Gender Equality-related issues for the rest of the current term, with President Roberta Metsola and the new Chair of FEMM Committee, Robert Biedroń. A panel will be dedicated to Pay Transparency.
But in these special circumstances, we need to continue looking at what is happening in Ukraine.
Three prominent female members from the Verkhovna Rada, Ukrainian Parliament, will intervene to speak about the situation in their country.
