41st EU/ACP Joint Assembly: press conference Friday 1 April, 16.45
The Africa, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP)-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly will meet at the European Parliament in Strasbourg from 1-3 April.
The ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly (JPA) brings together MEPs and parliamentarians from 78 ACP countries.
From 1-3 April, the JPA will meet at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, where participants will discuss
- Threats to stability, security and democracy in West Africa and the Sahel
- The Russian invasion of Ukraine and its global impact
- The COVID-19 pandemic, cooperation in support of the economic recovery cooperation, and investment for achieving universal health coverage.
- Support for small island states in the face of climate change and natural disasters.
As part of the JPA, a press conference will take place on Friday:
When: Friday 1 April at 16.45-17.30.
Where: Librairie Internationale Kléber, 1 rue des Francs-Bourgeois, 6700 Strasbourg.
Who: Carlos Zorrinho MEP and Peter Kenilorea Jr., Co-presidents of the JPA, and Véronique Bertholle, Deputy Mayor in charge of European and international relations
A public debate will follow the press conference, at the same location.
