MEPs travel to Washington DC to discuss EU-US economic relations

An Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee delegation will travel Washington DC to look into EU-US relations in the light of the war in Ukraine and the worsening global economic situation.

The delegation will leave to the US on 17 July and will return on 21 July. They will meet with legislators, government officials, US regulatory agencies, international organisations, think tanks and businesses.

Topics on the agenda include the general economic outlook especially inflation, Russia sanctions, anti-money laundering, digital finance, sustainable finance, banking supervision, and crypto currencies.
