Hearing on gender aspects of defence, peace and security
On Wednesday, the Women’s Rights and Gender Equality Committee will hold a hearing focusing on the impact of armed conflict on women and girls.
WHEN: Wednesday 24 May from 15.00 to 16.30
WHERE: European Parliament, Brussels, SPAAK building (room 1A002)

It will be opened by Robert Biedroń (S&D, Poland), Chair of the Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality. This will be followed by presentations from:
- Stella Ronner-Grubačić, European External Action Service, EU Ambassador for Gender and Diversity;
- Keina Yoshida, senior legal adviser, Center for Reproductive Rights, UK;
- Katerin Jurado Díaz, lawyer, Corporación Sisma Mujer, Colombia;
- Kirthi Jayakumar, founder, The Gender Security project, India.
Members will then have the chance to exchange views with the experts.
