Delegation of Economics committee MEPs conclude mission to Paris

A delegation of MEPs have just concluded a mission to Paris to discuss the economy, financial services and tax matters at both the national and international level.

The eight MEPs composing the delegation were in Paris between Monday and Wednesday meeting France’s economy minister, top central bank and treasury officials, and representatives of numerous international, EU, and French public and private organisations such as the OECD and the EU’s financial services watchdog authorities which are based in Paris.

The delegation was composed of:

Pierre PIMPIE (PfE, FR)

Damian BOESELAGER (Greens/EFA, DE)
Pascal Canfin (Renew, FR) accompanied the delegation on Monday.

At the end of mission, the head of the delegation, Aurore Lalucq (S&D, FR) said:

"The central issue in the discussions was of how to protect our sovereignty and our interests, while consolidating Europe's position as a haven of stability and respect for the rule of law for all economic players.”
