Dabartinės ES prieglobsčio sistemos nesugebėjimas susidoroti su migrantų srautais reikalauja radikaliai reformuoti Dublino taisykles, nustatančias, kuri šalis atsakinga už prieglobsčio prašymo nagrinėjimą. Tai pažymima trečiadienį EP narių patvirtintoje rezoliucijoje. Jie siūlo sukurti bendrą prieglobsčio prašymų registravimo sistemą, kuri būtų paremta kvotomis ir „karštuose“ migracijos srautų valdymo centruose esančių prieglobsčio prašytojų paskirstymu tarp valstybių narių.

Naujoji direktyva kartu sustiprins ES valstybių policijos bendradarbiavimą kovojant su kibernetiniais nusikaltimais.

Too little has been done to ensure that citizens' rights are protected following revelations of electronic mass surveillance, say civil liberties MEPs in a resolution passed on Tuesday.
