LUX Audience Film award winner to be announced in Strasbourg
EP President Sassoli will reveal the LUX European Audience Film Award 2021 winner during a ceremony in the chamber on Wednesday at noon.
Representatives of the three films shortlisted for the LUX Award will be present in Strasbourg and will address the issue of media freedom in Europe, as well as the difficult situation facing the European film and cinema industry due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Background
The winner of the LUX Audience Award – jointly awarded by Parliament and the European Film Academy, in partnership with the European Commission and the Europa Cinemas network – is selected by MEPs and European citizens (each accounting for 50% of the final decision).
