MEPs set to endorse new Estonian candidate for the Court of Auditors
On Tuesday, Parliament is expected to back the nomination of Keit Pentus-Rosimannus to the European Court of Auditors.
Keit Pentus-Rosimannus, nominated by the Estonian government, is a former Member of the Estonian government.
She was endorsed by the Budgetary Control Committee following her hearing on 8 November.
The final decision will be taken by EU member states.
The EU Treaty allows each member state to propose its candidate for the European Court of Auditors. Member states, after consulting Parliament, appoint the chosen nominees for a six-year term.
