The European Parliament’s spokesperson will hold a last-minute briefing on the 5-8 July plenary session today at 16.30.

The main topics that MEPs will discuss and vote on this week include:


  • Rights of LGBTIQ citizens in Hungary/Rule of Law/Fundamental Rights in Hungary and Poland
  • Debate with Prime Minister Janez Janša on Slovenian Presidency of the Council
  • Debate with Presidents Michel and von der Leyen on outcome of EU summit
  • Preventing sexual exploitation of children online
  • Guidelines for applying the Rule of law conditionality rules
  • Infrastructure projects connecting EU regions
  • Strengthening the role of the European Medicines Agency
