Vehicle design
From around 18.30, MEPs and Commissioner Jessika Roswall will discuss Parliament’s negotiating position for new rules on vehicle design to facilitate reuse and recycling. The changes include new targets for the use of recycled materials, such as plastic, and extended producer responsibility. The vote will take place on Tuesday.

Public procurement
Parliament and Commission Executive Vice-President Stéphane Séjourné will be discussing what should be the priority criteria for calls to tender, from around 19.30. A report from the Committee for the Internal Market and Consumer Policy recommends that the European Commission should simplify overly complicated rules and that authorities should focus less on finding the cheapest option, and more on non-price considerations, such as social and environmental criteria. The vote is scheduled for Tuesday.

In brief
Competitiveness. Immediately after the opening of the session, members and Commissioner Maria Luís Albuquerque will discuss ways to boost investment and European competitiveness, exactly one year since the publication of the Draghi Report. A vote on the own-initiative report will take place on Wednesday.

Internet governance. Monday evening’s agenda will also include a debate with Commission Executive Vice-President Henna Virkkunen on the renewal of the mandate of the Internet Governance Forum, up for review at the end of 2025.
