Parlamentarna vprašanja

Parlamentarna vprašanja so vprašanja, ki jih evropski poslanci naslovijo na druge institucije in organe Evropske unije. So neposredni instrument parlamentarnega nadzora nad drugimi institucijami in organi EU.
Parlamentarna vprašanja se delijo na tri kategorije:

  • Vprašanja za ustni odgovor, ki so postavljena na parlamentarnih sejah in vključena v razpravo tistega dne ter jim lahko sledi sprejetje resolucije ali ne (člen 136)
  • Vprašanja za „čas za vprašanja“, ki so postavljena na plenarnem zasedanju v času, določenem za ta namen (člen 137)
  • Vprašanja za pisni odgovor, ki so postavljena z zahtevo za odgovor v pisni obliki (člen 138)
