Parlamentsfrågor

Parlamentsfrågor är frågor som Europaparlamentets ledamöter ställer till Europeiska unionens övriga institutioner och organ. De utgör ett direkt verktyg för parlamentarisk kontroll när det gäller EU:s övriga institutioner och organ.
Det finns tre kategorier av parlamentsfrågor:

  • Muntliga frågor som tas upp under parlamentets sammanträden och förs in i ”Dagens debatt”, vilka kan, men inte behöver, följas av en resolution ( artikel 142)
  • De frågor från ”Frågestunder” som ställs under tidpunkter avsedda för detta ändamål under plenarsammanträden (artikel 143)
  • Skriftliga frågor som ställs för skriftligt besvarande (artikel 144)
