STOA gears up for the 10th Parliamentary term

On October 24, 2024, in Strasbourg, the European Parliament's Panel for the Future of Science and Technology (STOA) held its first meeting and elected its leadership for the first half of the 10th parliamentary term. The meeting was chaired by Victor Negrescu (Romania, S&D), EP Vice-President responsible for STOA.
German MEP Christian Ehler, from the European People's Party (EPP) Group, was re-elected as Chair of the STOA Panel, continuing his leadership from the previous term. Joining him in key roles are Spanish MEP Lina Gálvez, a member of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats (S&D) Group, as First Vice-Chair, and Latvian MEP Ivars Ijabs, from the Renew Europe Group, as Second Vice-Chair.
