This collection of studies summarizes the benefits of the legislation adopted by the European Parliament in the area of free movement of goods, services, Digital Single Market and public procurement. These benefits are estimated at a total amount of 985 billion euros annually. European legislation has further important potential in delivering economic benefits for European citizens and businesses.

Som følge heraf har EU indført en lovgivningsramme for telekommunikation, der omfatter fastnettelekommunikation og trådløs telekommunikation, internet, tv- og radiotjenester ...

Det indre marked er et område med velstand og frihed, der giver adgang til varer, tjenesteydelser, job, forretningsmuligheder og kulturel rigdom. Der er behov for en vedvarende indsats for at sikre en yderligere uddybning af det indre marked, som kan give store gevinster for EU's forbrugere og virksomheder. Navnlig åbner det digitale indre marked nye muligheder for at styrke økonomien (via e-handel) og samtidig begrænse bureaukrati (gennem e-forvaltning og digitalisering af offentlige tjenesteydelser ...

Fri bevægelighed for varer

Den frie bevægelighed for varer er sikret gennem afskaffelsen af toldafgifter og kvantitative restriktioner samt gennem forbuddet mod foranstaltninger med tilsvarende virkning. Principperne om gensidig anerkendelse, fjernelse af fysiske og tekniske hindringer og fremme af standardisering blev tilføjet for at videreføre gennemførelsen af det indre marked. Med vedtagelsen af de nye retlige rammer i 2008 blev den frie bevægelighed for varer, markedsovervågningssystemet i EU og CE-mærkningen styrket. ...
