10-12 September: INTA delegation to the WTO Public Forum 2024
A delegation of seven INTA Members will travel to Geneva to participate to the WTO Public Forum between 10 and 12 September. INTA Members will meet with Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the WTO to discuss the state of world trade and the prospects for trade policy in the aftermath of the 13th Ministerial Conference which took place earlier this year (MC13).
They will also hold meetings with third countries' ambassadors in Geneva as well as civil society and address topical issues on the WTO agenda, including e-commerce negotiations, fisheries agreements, dispute settlement reform and support for LDCs.
The Public Forum is the WTO's largest annual outreach event, providing a platform for interested stakeholders to discuss the latest developments in global trade and to propose ways of enhancing the multilateral trading system. This year's theme is "Re-globalization: Better Trade for a Better World".
