The European Parliament's Subcommittee on Human Rights (DROI) and the Committee on Legal Affairs (JURI), in cooperation with the Legislative Dialogue Unit of the Directorate for Relations with national Parliaments, will jointly organise an inter-parliamentary meeting with National Parliaments on 28 November 2022 on “Universal Jurisdiction. Improving accountability for serious international crimes".

The aim of the meeting is to discuss to what extent universal jurisdiction can play a role as part of a wider accountability strategy, complementary to international courts and prosecutions on other jurisdictional bases.

This meeting will take place both in the premises of the European Parliament in Brussels as well as via remote participation.
