Save cruelty-free cosmetics – Commit to a Europe without animal testing

On Thursday 25 May, from 9.00, ENVI will hold a hearing on the European Citizens’ Initiative: ‘Save cruelty-free cosmetics – Commit to a Europe without animal testing’. The AGRI and PETI Committees will be associated.
The hearing will be divided into three parts, corresponding the Initiative's three objectives:
1. Protect and strengthen the cosmetics animal testing ban.
2. Transform EU chemicals regulation.
3. Modernise science in the EU.
Commission Vice President Jourová and Commissioner Breton are expected to take part.
