On Wednesday 15 April 2026 the International Trade Committee of the European Parliament will hold a Public Hearing on Trade and Investment relations with China from 15.00 to 17.00 in Brussels.
On 15 April, the CULT Committee will host a public hearing on "Education as a driver for empowering youth, fostering inclusiveness and engagement in Europe", exploring the role of education in contributing to a more inclusive Europe where young people can thrive and are empowered.
On 15 April, the CULT Committee held a workshop on the film financing ecosystem in the European Union. The workshop covered film financing models, key players, and audience development measures. It also addressed support for films from smaller EU Member States, funding distribution under Creative Europe, and future challenges, exploring how EU policy might respond with regulatory and financial support measures.
On 15 April 2026, a workshop on Territorial Supply Constraints (TSCs) will take place from 10h00 to 11h30 during the IMCO committee meeting. In its 2025 Single Market Strategy, the EC identified unjustified TSCs in retail and wholesale among the "Terrible Ten" most harmful remaining barriers to the internal market. During the workshop, experts will discuss the most prevalent TSCs with Members of the European Parliament and provide forward looking perspectives on how to tackle them.
The Committee on Employment and Social Affairs (EMPL) in cooperation with the Directorate for Relations with National Parliaments held an Interparliamentary Committee Meeting (ICM) entitled: “Human Work in the Digital Age – artificial intelligence, new forms of working, and work-related stress”.
The Committee on Regional Development will have a presentation of a study on Flexibility and Simplification in Cohesion Policy under the 2028-2034 MFF Proposals at its meeting on Tuesday 14 April 2026.
The Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON) held a public hearing on the “Global role of the euro” on Tuesday, 14 April 2026, from 14:30 to 16:00.
On Tuesday 14 April, the Subcommittee on Human Rights held a public hearing on 'Caste discrimination in South Asia'. The panel, comprised of representatives of the European External Action Service, the United Nations, as well as civil society actors and individuals with lived experience, provided a holistic overview of caste discrimination and its implications for human rights in South Asia.
Auditions
