Public hearing on "Advancing International Humanitarian Law (IHL) and International Human Rights Law (IHRL) in Conflict Zones and Fragile Contexts to Protect the Most Vulnerable"

The Committee on Security and Defence (SEDE) and the Committee on Transport and Tourism (TRAN) organises a joint public hearing on 'Military Mobility' on Wednesday, 14 May 2025 from 14.30 to 17.00hrs in Brussels (room ANTALL 4Q2), with external experts.

This study evaluates the effectiveness of tax incentives, with a particular focus on incentives for research and development (R&D). It analyses different design options for tax incentives and shows that input-based R&D tax incentives appear to be the most effective in stimulating additional R&D investment.

This event will be held in the Library of the European Parliament in Brussels, which is located on the fifth floor (5D) of the Spinelli building. The registration is over. The Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development will hold a workshop on the future of agriculture and the post-2027 common agricultural policy, on 15 May.
