U skladu s člankom 193. Poslovnika, odboru je dopušteno organizirati saslušanje sa stručnjacima u slučaju kada se smatra da je to prijeko potrebno za rad na pojedinoj temi. Dva ili više odbora također mogu zajednički održati saslušanje. Većina odbora redovito organizira saslušanja kako bi se čula mišljenja stručnjaka i raspravljalo o ključnim pitanjima.
