Proceedings of the Workshop on "Packaging of Unhealthy Products"
This report summarises the presentations and discussions at the Workshop on Packaging of Unhealthy Products, held at the European Parliament in Brussels, on Wednesday 19 September 2012. The aim of the workshop was to exchange views on the marketing power of packaging, its effects on consumers’ behaviour, the role of packaging in health promotion and disease prevention as well as on the regulatory framework applicable to the packaging of unhealthy products. The workshop was hosted by MEP Glenis Willmott (S&D, UK) and MEP Alojz Peterle (EPP, SL), Co-chairs of the Health Working Group within the ENVI Committee.
