EPRS is pleased to welcome Professor Loukas Tsoukalis, Professor at Paris School of International Affairs, Sciences Po, and Emeritus Professor of the University of Athens, who will talk about his last book 'Europe’s Coming of Age' (2022).

In this book, the author looks at the bigger picture and addresses the main challenges Europeans must now confront. Russia's invasion of Ukraine has come at the tail end of major transformations and successive crises that have radically changed the world we live in. Growing strategic rivalry, large asymmetries and the weaponization of economic interdependence, coupled with the existential challenge of climate change, force the EU to adjust to be able to defend collective interests and values. Can we do it? Coalitions of willing and able countries should lead the way.
