On 16 and 17 March 2026, the European Parliament and the European Commission will co-host the fourth edition of the EU Tax Symposium in the Autworld (Parc du Cinquantenaire) and the Hemicycle of the European Parliament in Brussels, with the participation of National Parliaments.

The Committee on Regional Development will have a presentation of a new study by the Policy Department for Regional Development, Agriculture and Fisheries entitled "Navigating the European Commission’s MFF Proposal for 2028-2034 - Mapping Risks and Opportunities for Cohesion Policy and Regional Development" during its meeting on Tuesday, 17 March 2026.

The Committee on Constitutional Affairs jointly with the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs and the Special Committee on the European Democracy Shield will hold a hearing on “Democracy and elections in the AI era” on 18 March.

The Policy Department of the European Parliament organises for the Committee for Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs, a Workshop on ‘What Europeans Think about Immigration and Why It Matters’. This event will focus on scientific evidence regarding public perceptions of immigration’s effects, given that even when based on factual data, people’s perceptions can vary markedly.

An IMCO Delegation will visit Beijing and Shanghai to gain first-hand insight into China’s leadership in e-commerce, its customs and logistics systems, and their influence on consumer behaviour and market trends. The mission aims to explore how digital trade innovations shape access and choice, assess impacts on European consumers, and identify lessons to strengthen EU consumer rights and market fairness.
