The proposal to revise the regulation on land use, land-use change and forestry (LULUCF) was included in the European Commission's 'fit for 55' package. The Parliament is due to vote in plenary in March on a report from the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) on the proposal to revise the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive, part of the 'fit for 55' package. Once adopted, this will set Parliament's position for trilogue negotiations with the Council.

As a member of the Commission for the Conservation of Southern Bluefin Tuna (CCSBT), the European Union must transpose its measures so that they apply to vessels flying the flag of an EU Member State.
