The purpose of the event was to exchange views with experts and representatives of national parliaments on the explosion of energy poverty that is particularly affecting single mothers and single women. This ICM explored ways and means in which gender equality considerations can be integrated into policies and initiatives at the EU, national, and local levels. The meeting was chaired by the FEMM Chair Robert BIEDROŃ and was well attended by Members of the European Parliament and National Parliaments.
