This information note on the fisheries sector in Mauritania was prepared for the delegation of the PECH Committee which will be carrying out a visit from 2 to 6 April 2018. Bevarande av fiskeresurserna
För att bevara fiskeresurserna måste man säkerställa ett hållbart utnyttjande av dessa resurser och en långsiktig lönsamhet för sektorn. I syfte att uppnå detta mål har EU antagit lagstiftning som reglerar tillträdet till unionens vatten, tilldelningen och användningen av resurserna, de totala tillåtna fångstmängderna, begränsningarna av fiskeansträngningen och andra tekniska åtgärder.
