A visit to the parliamentary debating chamber is an unrivalled opportunity to soak up the unique atmosphere of the world’s largest transnational parliament. It hosts the European Parliament’s most important debates and has provided the backdrop for many historic votes.
All visits to the European Parliament in Strasbourg include the Parlamentarium Simone Veil. The dynamic and interactive exhibition gives citizens of all ages a practical insight into the role of the European Parliament, its political groups and the work of its Members.
Hear from the people who are part of the European Parliament about how it works and how European laws are made in this video that accompanies you in the multimedia guide during visits in Strasbourg.
Groups (20 people and more) can book their visit with a guided tour in English, French or German in advance online. Please note that different groups may be combined for tours. Bookings must be made at least 2 working days in advance.
Part of the visit might take place with multimedia guides, available in 24 languages.
Groups with a booking may also be able to visit the panoramic terrace, although visiting depends on factors such as weather and group size. The terrace offers a unique perspective of the European Parliament, as well as spectacular views across Strasbourg.
Groups without a booking and individual visitors are welcome during the opening hours indicated below. Visits are with multimedia guides, available in 24 languages. At busy times multimedia guides may not be available. If this happens then staff members will be on hand to answer questions and speak about the European Parliament in English, French and German.
You can download the multimedia guide ahead of your visit. The app 'EP Visit Strasbourg' is available on the Apple Store and Google Play.
