The President had received a request from the Verts/ALE Group to check the compatibility of the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement with the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights. The request would be referred to the LIBE Committee, the committee responsible for interpreting the Charter, in line with Rule 36(2). |
