At a Glance
02-03-2022
The eighth Environment Action Programme (EAP) has been designed to provide a framework for the overall development of EU environmental policy and to guide policy-making by identifying priorities and goals for the 2021-2030 period. The aim is to achieve the EU 2050 vision: 'living well, within planetary boundaries'. A provisional agreement on the legislative proposal was reached in trilogue on 2 December 2021, and is due to be voted on by Parliament at first reading. The debate is scheduled for plenary in March.
