Kyrgyzstan has already set important democratic milestones in the region both in terms of institutions and civil society engagement, and we are confident that this great nation will be able to solve the current crisis in a peaceful way.

As European Parliament, we confirm our full commitment in supporting a democratic Kyrgyzstan, based on a pluralistic parliament and full respect of the rule of law. The people of Kyrgyzstan deserve democracy and peace and therefore we urge all parties to take concrete actions to prevent any further escalation of violence and to resume dialogue. "
