Reports - as rapporteur

A rapporteur is appointed in the responsible parliamentary committee to draft a report on proposals of a legislative or budgetary nature, or other issues. In drafting their report, rapporteurs may consult with relevant experts and stakeholders. They are also responsible for the drafting of compromise amendments and negotiations with shadow rapporteurs. Reports adopted at committee level are then examined and voted on in plenary. Rule 55

Opinions - as rapporteur

Committees may draft an opinion to a report of the responsible committee covering the elements linked to their committee remit. Rapporteurs of such opinions are also responsible for the drafting of compromise amendments and negotiations with shadow rapporteurs of the opinion. Rule 56, Rule 57, Annex VI

A melhoria da segurança rodoviária é um objetivo fulcral da política de transportes da União. A União põe em prática uma política de promoção da segurança rodoviária com o objetivo de reduzir o número de mortos e feridos e os danos materiais. O âmbito da presente iniciativa abrange as infrações rodoviárias que mais contribuem para acidentes de viação e vítimas mortais, nomeadamente excesso de velocidade, condução sob a influência do álcool, condução sob a influência de substâncias psicotrópicas e qualquer infração às regras de trânsito relacionadas com a segurança rodoviária que cause a morte ou ofensas corporais graves. Votei favoravelmente.

Amending Council Decision 2009/917/JHA, as regards its alignment with Union rules on the protection of personal data (A9-0361/2023 - Cornelia Ernst) PT

A presente proposta visa alinhar as regras que regem a proteção de dados na Decisão 2009/917/JAI do Conselho com os princípios e regras estabelecidos na Diretiva 2016/680 relativa à proteção de dados no domínio da aplicação da lei (Diretiva «Aplicação da Lei»), a fim de estabelecer um quadro sólido e coerente para a proteção dos dados pessoais na União. Trata-se de uma proposta breve e técnica.
O único ponto de divisão importante foi o período de conservação dos dados pessoais introduzidos no Sistema de Informação Aduaneiro (SIA). A este respeito, o relator obteve uma maioria para reduzir significativamente o período de retenção, contra a posição do PPE. O PPE votou ainda assim a favor, na expetativa de que este ponto seja negociado na fase de trílogos.

O presente relatório transpõe as recomendações da Comissão Internacional para a Conservação do Atum do Atlântico (ICCAT), para a legislação europeia.
É fundamental que a frota de pesca da União tenha as mesmas condições e medidas que se aplicam à frota de países terceiros que operam nesta área.
O Regulamento (UE) 2023/2053 deve ser alterado, a fim de transpor para o direito da União as medidas da CICTA relativas quer à gestão do atum-rabilho, com disposições relacionadas com definições, transferências de quotas, proibição de retenção, pesca recreativa, listas de navios, listas de armações e explorações, registo da CICTA das explorações, comunicação de informações, transferências, autorizações de transferência, identificadores de enjaulamento, autorizações de enjaulamento, operações de enjaulamento e respetiva monitorização por vídeo, controlo do enjaulamento, operações de colheita, atividades de controlo da colheita nas explorações após o enjaulamento, e com a execução, bem como aos programas nacionais de observação e ao programa de observação regional da CICTA, às regras sobre o tratamento dos peixes mortos ou perdidos, ao procedimento para as operações de selagem das jaulas de transporte e ao modelo para a declaração de transformação e a declaração de colheita.
Votei favoravelmente.

In accordance with Rule 143 of Parliament's Rules of Procedure, any individual Member may table a motion for resolution on a matter falling within the spheres of activity of the EU. These motions for resolution express the position of the individual Members who tabled them. Admissible motions are referred to the committee responsible, which shall decide whether to follow up the motion for resolution and, if so, which procedure is to be followed.
