CULT committee, in association with LIBE and ING2, discussed media freedom, protection of journalist and fight against disinformation in the context of the war in Ukraine.
On 13 July, the CULT committee held a public hearing on the "Implementation of the New Agenda for Culture and the EU Strategy for International Cultural Relations".
On Tuesday 12 July, the ITRE and CULT committees voted on the joint own-initiative report on the New European Bauhaus (NEB). The draft report, under the co-rapporteurship of Christian Ehler (ITRE) and Marcos Ros Sempere (CULT), has generated a broad interest in the Parliament, including nearly 500 amendments tabled and some 60 compromise amendments. The REGI and EMPL committees have also been involved throughout the process.
