The LIBE Committee held an exchange of views with the Commissioner for Home Affairs, Ms. Ylva Johansson, regarding the decision of Hungary to extend its system of national cards for citizens of Russia and Belarus. Commissioner Johansson provided information on the Commission's assessment on the decision taken by Hungary to extend its residence scheme and national cards to citizens of these two countries.

Ms Catherine De Bolle, the Europol Executive Director since 2018, has presented to LIBE Committee Members the Agency and its current activities, as well as the Europol report on criminal networks in the EU.
