The Committee of Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) organises together with the Legislative Dialogue Unit of the Directorate for Relations with National Parliaments, the 6th interparliamentary committee meeting on "The evaluation of Eurojust activities".

On 11 November, the European Commission has presented to LIBE Members its three proposals outlining the financing of Union support in the areas of asylum, migration, border management, visas, and internal security under the next EU long-term budget, which will cover the period from 2028 to 2034.

On 11 November 2025 the LIBE Committee held and exchange of views on the criminal misuse of pyrotechnics, following growing concern over their use in violent incidents, attacks on law enforcement and organised crime.

On 10 November, the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs held an exchange of views on the implementation of the Programme Horizon Europe: Cluster 3 - Civil Security for Society with the Director of Directorate F - Innovation and Audit, DG HOME.

On 10 November, the European Parliament’s Policy Department B has organised a workshop—requested by the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs—on the Commission’s new EU LGBTIQ+ Equality Strategy 2026–2030, which builds on the previous 2020–2025 strategy.

On 15 October 2025, the Chair of the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs, Javier ZARZALEJOS and Commissioner for Internal Affairs and Migration, Magnus BRUNNER co-hosted an event with distinguished guests to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Schengen Agreement.

On 13 October, the LIBE Committee held an exchange of views on judicial independence and rule of law developments in Spain. The discussion included Mr Julien Mousnier, Director at DG JUST, representing the European Commission, as well as representatives from Spanish judges’ and prosecutors’ associations.
