Kuulemiset

Valiokunta voi kuulla asiantuntijoita, jos se katsotaan välttämättömäksi tietyn asian käsittelyn kannalta. Kaksi valiokuntaa tai useampi valiokunta voi myös pitää yhteisen kuulemistilaisuuden. Useimmat valiokunnat järjestävät säännöllisesti kuulemistilaisuuksia, sillä ne antavat mahdollisuuden kuulla asiantuntijoita ja käydä keskusteluja keskeisistä kysymyksistä. Tällä sivulla esitetään kaikki valiokuntien kuulemisista saatavilla olevat tiedot, kuten ohjelmat ja puheenvuorot.

EMPL-LIBE joint hearing on “Consequences and lessons from the COVID-19 crisis for people living in residential institutions: a social and human rights perspective”. The EMPL and LIBE committees will hold a hearing, introduced by EMPL Chair Lucia ĎURIŠ NICHOLSONOVÁ and LIBE Chair Juan Fernando LÓPEZ AGUILAR, with experts, Commission Vice-President Dubravka ŠUICA and Commissioner Helena DALLI.

The Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) and the Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality (FEMM) held a joint hearing on “Combating Gender based Violence: Cyber Violence” on 30 November 2020.

On 29 October 2020, a hearing on Union Citizenship will be jointly organised by the European Parliament (JURI, LIBE, AFCO and PETI Committees) and the European Commission. The hearing will see a keynote speech by Mr. Didier Reynders, Commissioner for Justice and the participation of the office of the European Ombudsman, as well as representatives from various NGOs.

A joint committee hearing on “Trafficking in human beings" will be organized by the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) and the Committee on Gender Equality and Women's Rights (FEMM) on 26 October 2020 from 17:30 – 18:45 remotely.

On 20 February 2020, the LIBE Committee will hold a hearing on artificial intelligence in criminal law and its use by the police and judicial authorities in criminal matters

The Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) of the European Parliament is organising on 19 February 2020 a Hearing on the Implementation of the Dublin III Regulation.

On 3 December 2019, the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) will hold a public hearing entitled "Towards a common EU strategy to fight corruption and organized crime – strengthening instruments and enhancing cooperation between relevant actors"

In accordance with article 53 of Regulation (EU) no 2018/1725 (Data Protection Regulation for EU Institutions) “the European Parliament and the Council shall appoint the European Data Protection Supervisor by common accord for a term of five years, on the basis of a list drawn up by the Commission following a public call for candidates. The list of candidates drawn up by the Commission shall be public and shall consist of at least three candidates.

This year marks the 60th anniversary of UN General Assembly Declaration of the Rights of the Child and the 30th Anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

On 6 November 2019, the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) will hold a public hearing on “Media Freedom, Freedom of Expression and Combatting hate speech online and offline”.

On Thursday 3 October the LIBE Committee will hold a public hearing to take stock of the situation of Search and Rescue in the Mediterranean in view of latest developments and the legal framework.

On Monday 18 March 2019, the Committees on Foreign Affairs (AFET), and Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) will hold a public hearing on the rule of law in the accession process.
