On 16 April 2026, the European Court of Auditors (ECA) presented their Special report 11/2026 "Innovation Fund - High potential, but slow progress and little impact on emissions reduction" to the Committee on Budgetary Control, and to the Committee on the Environment, Climate and Food Safety.
On 15 April 2026, the Committee on Budgetary Control held an exchange of views with Commission representatives on lessons learned of 10 years of Early-Detection and Exclusion System (EDES) and future challenges.
On 24 March 2026, the Committee on Budgetary Control voted on the own-initiative draft report and amendments on the ‘Control of the financial activities of the European Investment Bank Group — annual report 2024’.
On 24 March 2026, CONT Members voted on the draft reports and amendments concerning the 2024 Discharge to the Commission, and the EU Agencies.
The Committees on Budgetary Control, and on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs welcomed Laura Codruța Kövesi, the European Chief Prosecutor, on 18 March 2026 to exchange on the latest developments in the activity of the European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO) and the Annual Report 2025 published at the beginning of March.
