On 23 March 2023, CONT Members exchanged views with David O'Sullivan, International Special Envoy for the implementation of EU sanctions, and Victoria Gil Casado, Director of the Commission's Central Financial Service on how to prevent EU funds from ending up with individuals and companies tied to the EU-Russia sanctions lists.

On 23 March 2023, Iliana Ivanova, Member of the European Court of Auditors, presented the Special report 02/2023 "Adapting cohesion policy rules to respond to COVID-19 - Funds used more flexibly, but reflection needed on cohesion policy as a crisis response tool".

On 23 March from 9.00 to 10.30, the LIBE and CONT committees welcomed Laura Codruța Kövesi, the European Chief Prosecutor, to exchange on the latest developments in the activity of the European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO) and the annual report 2022 published at the beginning of March. The annual report made an overview of the activities of EPPO during the last year focusing on EU fraud affecting public revenue, in particular cross-border VAT fraud.

On 22 March 2023, the Budgetary Control Committee held a hearing and vote on the nomination of Mr Martin Klus as the Slovakian Member of the European Court of Auditors.

On 22 March 2023, Tony Murphy, President and reporting Member of the European Court of Auditors, presented the Special report 07/2023 "Design of the Commission’s control system for the RRF - Assurance and accountability gap remains at EU level in the new delivery model, despite extensive work being planned" to the Committee.

On 22 March 2023, the Members of the Committee for Budgetary Control voted on the draft reports and amendments concerning the 2021 Discharge to the European Commission, European Development Fund (EDF), and Agencies.

On 22 March 2023, the Members of the Committee on Budgetary Control voted on the draft opinion to ITRE and AFET Committees on European defence industry reinforcement through common procurement act.

On 28 February 2023, the Members of the Committee on Budgetary Control considered the draft opinion to ITRE and AFET Committees on European defence industry reinforcement through common procurement act.

On 28 February 2023, CONT Members voted on the draft reports and amendments concerning the 2021 Discharge to European Parliament, Other Institutions and Joint Undertakings.
