Atelierele sunt organizate de departamentele tematice cu scopul de a le permite deputaților în Parlamentul European să pună întrebări și să facă schimb de opinii cu experți pe teme legate de activitatea parlamentară sau de subiecte arzătoare. Acestea nu au loc neapărat în public, însă pot avea loc în cursul reuniunii unei comisii.

Joint BUDG/CONT workshop of 30 January 2023

The workshop will cover a series of important questions regarding the financial instruments that are needed to reach the environmental goals that are set out in the Paris Agreement to which the EU and all its Member States are signatories. More specifically, the question is raised how much has been committed so far financially and how much of this is the EU’s contribution.

This Workshop, organised by the Policy Department for Citizens’ Rights and Constitutional Affairs for the Committee on Petitions, focuses on transparency with regard to pricing and reimbursement of medicinal products. There still are problems regarding transparency of research and development costs of originator companies, and information on the actual prices paid for medicines.

Workshop on election processes

On 25 January DROI will hold a workshop on legitimacy and resilience of electoral processes in illiberal political systems and authoritarian regimes, with briefings from two experts. Professor Thomas Demmelhuber (University Erlangen-Nürnberg) will talk about the functions of elections in non-democratic regimes, and Professor Richard Youngs (Carnegie Europe and University of Warwick) will assess policy options for the EU.

The Workshop, organised by the Policy Department for Citizens’ Rights and Constitutional Affairs for the Committee on Petitions, focused on Disability Assessment, Mutual Recognition and the EU Disability Card and on the obstacles faced by persons with disabilities, and reported in petitions, when they move across the EU, due to lack of mutual recognition of disability status and related rights and differences in disability assessments.

Although conventional cigarettes remain the main mode of tobacco consumption, non-combustible tobacco and nicotine products have developed rapidly in the last fifteen years, and their use is expected to continue growing in the coming years. This workshop will discuss health and regulatory aspects of these novel tobacco and nicotine products.

On Tuesday, 29 November 2022, the FEMM Committee will hold a workshop on “Women in Sport” organised by the Policy Department on Citizen’s Rights and Constitutional Affairs.

The Policy Department for Economic, Scientific and Quality of Life Policies has organised a study presentation on 26 October 2022 from 14:00 to 15:00 in Room 1E1 (Spinelli building), on ‘Green Bonds: An assessment of the proposed EU Green Bonds Standard and its potential to prevent greenwashing’.

The workshop will present the current situation in Europe and worldwide regarding the accessibility and availability of antimicrobial products and the needs for new ones. It will then focus on the challenges and the available policy options to improve the discovery, development and availability of antimicrobial pharmaceutical products.

On Thursday, 13 October 2022, the FEMM Committee will hold a workshop on “Feminist economy: tools to design the economy that works for women”, organised by the Policy Departement on Citizen’s Rights and Constitutional Affairs.

The Workshop, organised by the Policy Department for Citizens’ Rights and Constitutional Affairs for the Committee on Petitions, focuses on transparency and citizen engagement in the fight against corruption. The Committee on Petitions places dialogue with European citizens at the very center of its activity. It is particularly interested in the development of administrative transparency and in preventing and fighting corruption in both the public and private sectors.
