Pracovní cesty

Výbor se může rozhodnout uspořádat pracovní cestu do členského státu, země mimo EU nebo na mezinárodní konferenci. Pracovní cesty se uskutečňují v rámci výkonu pravomocí svěřených výboru a účastní se jich omezený počet členů výboru. Výbor může také - nejvýše na tři dny - vyslat tříčlennou delegaci do agentur, pro něž je příslušný. Na této stránce naleznete veškeré informace týkající se pracovních cest.

European Union and UK

A delegation of AFET Members will travel to the UK from 18 to 19 September 2023. This will be the first time that the committee travels to the UK since 31 January 2020 when the United Kingdom officially left the EU. The AFET delegation will discuss possibilities for strengthened partnership and deepening dialogue on issues of importance in relevant areas of bilateral cooperation, including in foreign and security affairs.

An ad hoc INTA delegation will participate to the WTO Public Forum and 52th session of the Steering Committee of the Parliamentary Conference on the WTO on 14 and 15 September in Geneva.

A delegation of AFET members will travel to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan from 21 to 25 August 2023. The AFET delegation will discuss the regional developments and the potential for closer cooperation in the current challenging geopolitical context, including the impact of Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine and the introduction of EU sanctions on Russia.

The Committee on Budgets travelled to Maputo and Beira (Mozambique) to analyse and investigate the EU financial assistance to Mozambique aimed at generating a resilient society and promoting a stable economy through supporting job creation, fostering rural competitiveness and better engaging the private sector.

FISC Subcommittee

Members of the FISC Subcommittee traveled to Singapore from 25 to 27 July 2023 in order to discuss developments in the area of international taxation and the fight against tax avoidance and evasion.

EU flag

A delegation of AFET members will travel to Japan and Taiwan from 24 to 27 July 2023. This mission would contribute to strengthening the cooperation with like-minded partners in the Indo-Pacific region. The AFET visit to Japan and Taiwan will allow discussing the regional dimension and further geopolitical developments in both the Indo-Pacific and the South China Sea region.

A delegation of 3 Members traveled to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) from 24 to 26 July 2023. The delegation was led by MEP Karsten Lucke (S&D, DE).

A delegation of 10 Members of the European Parliament, from the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety and the Committee on Development, will take part in the ministerial segment of the UN High Level Political Forum (HLPF) on Sustainable Development, 17-19 July 2023 in New York, USA.

Mission of the ING2 Committee to London, United Kingdom

The Special Committee sent a delegation to London (United Kingdom), on 26 June 2023. The delegation, led by Mr Vladimír Bilčík (EPP, SK), was composed of seven Members, Ms Sandra Kalniete (EPP, LV), Mr Lukas Mandl (EPP, AT), Mr Andreas Schieder (S&D, AT), Mr Morten Løkkegaard (Renew, DK), Ms Markéta Gregorová (Greens/EFA, CZ) and Ms Gwendoline Delbos-Corfield (Greens/EFA, FR).

On 20-24 June 2023, a delegation of the Committee on Legal Affairs visited San Francisco and Silicon Valley, California, USA. The mission was organised to explore the following topics: artificial intelligence, including questions of civil liability; virtual worlds and the Metaverse (ethics, civil law, intellectual property); microprocessors (IP protection aspects; trade secrets protection; standard essential patents and compulsory licensing of patents);

FISC Subcommittee

Members of the FISC Subcommittee will travel to London, United Kingdom, from 19 to 20 June 2023, in order to meet key political decision-makers and stakeholders to discuss developments in the area of international taxation and the relation between the EU and the UK in this field.

From 19 to 21 June, MEPs travelled to Indonesia to discuss political and trade relations as well as regional integration.
